More than Housing
The Association has always seen its role as being more than just about housing. It has been keen to play its part in the social and economic regeneration of Govan. Providing employment and training opportunities for local people is but one example of this.
In recent years all housing associations have been encouraged by the Government to follow Govan's lead by playing a 'wider role' in the local community. Additional funding has been provided to support this new role for associations and Govan has been very successful in accessing this funding.
