Employment Initiatives
The Association tries to help local people into employment in a number of ways.
The apprentice scheme provides a full four-year joiner and a plumber apprenticeship.
The Association also regularly provides work placements for local schools and colleges and for adults undertaking training to return to the workplace.
Housing development and planned maintenance contracts issued by the Association require contractors to encourage local employment, both in terms of direct employees and the use of local sub-contractors.
