Tenement Refurbishment Programme
The final phase of the Ibrox tenement refurbishment programme has been completed - ahead of schedule! The Contractor, CCG, handed over the keys for the final block in October 2007. Delighted and excited, owners and tenants have begun to move into the refurbished properties at 62 Ibrox Street.
This final phase marks the end of the Association’s tenement improvement programme in Ibrox. However this does not mark the end of the overall commitment by Govan Housing Association to improve Ibrox as we are now commencing on the improvement of the run down back court area.
Over the last few months a series of workshops were held, owners and tenants were invited along and encouraged to participate in the design process. In the next few weeks a proposed plan of the back court will be posted in each close. Please feel free to inspect this and contact the Association on any comments or questions that you may have.
The Association would like to thank everyone who has participated so far and we have been thrilled that so many residents are interested in the design of their external space. Govan Housing Association is looking forward to creating a better environment in Ibrox.
