Govan Housing Association is determined to ensure that it employs the best candidate for any position within the organisation. The Application Form has been designed to ensure that the Recruitment Panel cannot tell the applicant's Age, Gender, Ethnic Origin or if they have a Disability (except in any arrangements required to be undertaken by the Association to enable the applicant to attend an interview). The first sheet identifying the applicant by name and the equal opportunities monitoring form are removed by the Association's Admin Officer and the rest of the form given an identification number prior to it being copied to the Recruitment Panel.
Similarly the Recruitment Panel will not see any additional information you append to the application form if it contains these details (e.g. CV, References). Please, however, feel free to append additional details of why you think you meet the Association's requirements, leaving out details directly identifying Age, Gender or Ethnic Origins. Finally, ensure that you securely attach any additional information to your application form.
The Association provides a person specification to allow you to assess whether you have the requirements we seek. It is up to you to fully demonstrate that you meet our requirements if you wish to be considered for any post. Please do not assume that providing a previous or current job title or advising of a qualification, without explaining how the experience or qualification meets our needs, will fulfil this.
