Garden Competition

The Association will recognise the efforts that many residents display in maintaining their gardens as we launch our Garden Competition this summer. The Housing Management staff will meet with the 3 local resident organisations to identify Govan’s best gardens. There will be a first, second and third area prize winners for each resident organisation and from this shortlist we will choose an overall winner. We will also have a category for the best improved garden to acknowledge the significant improvement a resident has made to their garden in the last year.
The Association’s Senior Housing Officer, Arlene Sanders said, ‘it is one of the more enjoyable parts of the housing management role where we are able to recognise the positive contribution that residents make to their property and the local community. We are thoroughly looking forward to the judging with the resident organisations and the challenge of choosing the area and overall winner of the Association’s Garden Competition. Everyone short listed is a winner and the prizes will be presented at the Association’s Annual General Meeting at 7.00pm on Thursday 19 August 2010’.
Look out for a full report and details of the winning gardens in the next edition of our newsletter.
