Community Inclusion

Collaboration with residents to meet the needs of the local community

Our Community Inclusion Team deliver a diverse programme in partnership with local third sector and statutory organisations. The programme has been developed in collaboration with residents to meet the needs of the local community.

We aim to create a better quality of life by covering six key themes: social inclusion, digital inclusion, education, integration, employability and wellbeing. This includes food provision, formal and informal education such as ESOL and cooking classes, Men’s Group and Woman’s Group, youth provision in the evening, digital drop-in services and one-to-one support.

The team also works with many strategic and delivery partners across Govan to support initiatives around our key themes, such as local schools, the employability sector and Glasgow City Council.

At present, much of our community development work is funded through the Scottish Government’s People and Communities Fund.
