Council Cleansing Services Industrial Action from 24th August
You will be aware that there is planned industrial action by local councils’ cleansing services from 24th August and if this goes ahead, your refuse service will be affected.
During this time, Govan Housing Association will prioritise health and safety issues resulting from this action, alongside our partners at Govan Home Team. This will mean that our landscaping services may be reduced until the industrial action is resolved, as operatives will be prioritising safe disposal of refuse. This will include regular walk rounds by Govan Home Team and Govan Housing Association staff, of all properties to support our customers at this time.
We will provide a skip at Jim Stephens House at Wanlock Street and a skip at our Home Team offices in Edminston Drive for domestic waste, for safe storage until services resume.
