Govan Screen 51 Film Festival

Screen 51 is happy to announce the full programme for Screen 51 Film Festival, which will run from 13 – 16 April at Govan & Linthouse Parish Church. This premiere celebration of film will host 3 Feature, 3 Fringe and 2 Family friendly screenings, encouraging audiences to return to a unique cinema and film festival experience.

For the first time ever, Govan & Linthouse Parish Church will be transformed into an independent cinema: making the most of this impressive 19th Century venue and offering a magnificent backdrop to some of 2022’s biggest blockbuster hits, including TOP GUN: Maverick, Elvis and Matilda the Musical.

As part of Govan’s wider response to the cost-of-living crisis, generously supported by The National Lottery Community Fund, Screen 51 Film Festival is proud to pilot its fair pricing initiative: operating a sliding scale ticket system with the aim of making Screen 51 more accessible to more people. The scheme works by having a sliding ticket price scale – our tickets are FREE, £2.50, £5, £7.50, or £10 – along with a recommendation of what people might choose to pay according to their personal circumstances. Screen 51 will never ask for proof of personal circumstances.

Screen 51 is a partnership of Govan & Linthouse Parish Church, We Together CIC and Govan Together for Childhood part of NSPCC Scotland who have been hosting monthly family movie nights since 2018. Screen 51 encourages every community, organisation and individual to visit the Film Festival during its very limited run.

Screen 51 Film Festival will run from the 13th of April to the 16th of April (inclusive) at Govan & Linthouse Parish Church, 796 Govan Road, Glasgow, G51 2YL.

Tickets are currently available online https://screen51.square.site and Screen 51 Facebook event page.
