We held a small focus group with Glasgow City Council in January to raise common areas of concern amongst Govan, Linthouse and Elder Park Housing Association tenants and to see how we can work together to make things better.
Issues raised included:
- Bin collections
- Feeding birds
- Dog fouling
- Anti-social behaviour
- Rubbish
- Parking
GCC stressed the importance of reporting these issues so resources can be allocated. The most effective way of doing that is by downloading the MyGlasgow app. However, if this is not possible please speak to your Housing team to liaise with GCC directly. We also have a Useful Information Sheet with more details which you can download or phone 0141 406 6638 to ask for a copy to be posted out.
GCC are organising a calendar of community litter picks. Govan Housing have a community litter pick and walkabout on the last Friday of every month, if you want to get involved.
This Residents group will meet again with GCC in March. Please get in touch if you would like to come along or if you have and general feedback you would like passed on.
